- http://www.gnhcp.org/ The Greater New Haven Cat Project. These folks have helped me in the past with a colony that began in a neighbors yard. Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) is what they do to control feline colonies. They work VERY hard to solve problems that others started. They take in the cats that may have a future with a family and try to help those who will live out their unfortunate lives fending for themselves. SPAY AND NEUTER people. There is help out there if you can't afford it.
- http://www.horseofct.org/ HORSE of CT is another rescue site you should check out. These groups rely heavily on donations and as you can imagine a large animal such as a HORSE is not cheap. Maybe this is why so many people end up staving them to death. You can sponsor a horse on their site. It's easy and very much appreciated.
